The rumours that our campaign is over are officially dead. Lichfield District Council has finally attached the formal yellow planning notices to the lampposts surrounding Meg Lane and Rake Hill.

📅 Mark Your Calendars: Monday, 13th July 2026
You now have until Monday, 13th July 2026 to log your formal objection. If you haven’t submitted your email yet, or if you know neighbours who were waiting to see the physical signs on the streets before acting, this is your moment. Don’t delay, act today!
🔍 Look Closely: The Council is Advertising Our Arguments!
In an incredible twist, Lichfield District Council has literally printed our core campaign arguments right onto the official yellow notices. Take a look at the exact text now hanging on the lampposts:
⚠️ “Development affects the setting of a Listed Building” > The council officially acknowledges the immediate threat this high-density estate poses to our historic, protected local properties.
⚠️ “The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area” > The planning department is openly stating in black and white that this speculative application directly violates local development plan rules.
🛑 Ignore the Rumours—Keep Pushing!
Do not fall for the local gossip claiming “we don’t need to worry because it’s going to be rejected anyway.” The developer is actively spending thousands of pounds pushing this layout through.
In planning law, nothing is decided until the final refusal notice is stamped. The only way to guarantee a refusal is to completely flood the Case Officer’s inbox with real, relentless community objections.
Our standalone technical briefs on Spatial Policy, Ecology, Heritage, and Police Safety are already logged on the portal. Now, we need the sheer weight of public numbers to back them up.
