Cast your mind back to May 16th. We asked you to make your feelings known about the proposed Bloor Homes development on the Church Road/Coulter Lane site via our online consultation form. And you know what? You did. En masse. 400 opinions!

The response was immense, and it made the Burntwood Action Group (BAG) feel truly honoured to be able to bring you all together. At the time, we didn’t quite know what to expect. But frankly, it wasn’t just the sheer volume of comments that impressed us – it was the overwhelming unity of opinion. So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to comment.

We’re now releasing the raw data from your submissions (with names removed to comply with GDPR and ensure your privacy) – see file below. What’s truly amazing is that, without any prompting or coordination, nearly everyone said pretty much the same thing. Some had more to say than others, but that didn’t matter. The core point was crystal clear.

The result is unanimous: Burntwood does not want this development, or any development that encroaches onto our vital greenbelt land. Such proposals would undoubtedly cause a huge amount of havoc on our already strained roads and overburden our local services.

Your collective voice has spoken powerfully. We will continue to champion your views and fight to protect our greenbelt. STAND WITH US BURNTWOOD!

What do you think is the most important next step for our community in light of this unified response?

    1. Yes Richard. We are in the process of arranging a meeting with the planning department at Lichfield to understand their views and how they view the national planning policy framework around green belt to grey belt.

Keep up the good work…that goes out to BAG and all the community against this development. The united front cannot be ignored!

Well done B.A.G. We are all there behind you and our continued support is guaranteed if the people i have spoken to subsequently is anything to go by. Thank you for taking the trouble to bring us all together, and although I knew from speaking to neighbours what the general feelings are, the turnout exceeded anything I expected to witness. Thankyou so much for all of your efforts.
