For years, the Burntwood Action Group has been the “engine room” for local residents who want to see our town grow responsibly—without sacrificing the vital Green Belt land that defines our community.

Today, we are at a crossroads.

The Challenge Ahead We are expecting two significant planning applications to arrive on the Lichfield District Council planning system very shortly. These applications represent a major turning point for our local landscape. To meet this challenge head-on, we need to strengthen our committee.

No Experience? No Problem. Many people think you need to be a lawyer or a planning consultant to join a committee like ours. That isn’t true. The only “qualifications” we look for are:

  • A genuine care for Burntwood and its surroundings.
  • A small amount of time to help with meetings, local outreach, or admin.

Whether you are 18 or 80, your perspective matters. We need fresh ideas, local knowledge, and—most importantly—people who aren’t afraid to stand up for their neighbors.

Why Join Us? By joining the BAG committee, you aren’t just “protesting”; you are helping to shape the evidence-based arguments that protect our environment. You’ll be part of a passionate, friendly group dedicated to ensuring Burntwood remains a town we are all proud to call home.

How to Get Involved If you have a few hours a month to spare and want to ensure our Green Belt isn’t lost forever, we want to hear from you.

Please reach out to our Secretary at: burntwoodactiongroup@icloud.com to register your interest and let us know how you can help.

Together, we can make sure Burntwood’s voice is heard loud and clear at District level.
