Residents of Burntwood, we have hit a nerve.

The Council’s Planning Case Officer dealing with the Bloors application has reached out to BAG. They have asked us to stop sending technical inquiries and “clarifying discrepancies” via email. They want us to stay in our lane and just “formalise our objections.”

This is actually a HUGE WIN. It means our technical research into the sewage failures, the lack of infrastructure, and the grid capacity is working. They can’t handle the volume of truth in their inboxes—so we are going to put it where they HAVE to read it: on the Official Planning Portal.

📢 THE NEW BATTLE PLAN:

INDIVIDUAL VOICES MATTER MORE THAN EVER: The Council wants us to be a single “group.” But 250 individual letters carry much more weight at the Planning Committee than one group report. Use our objection service NOW. If you haven’t sent yours, do it today! We have until the 20th.

THE MASTER REBUTTAL: While you keep the volume high with your individual stories, BAG is busy finalising a Master Technical Rebuttal. We are consolidating every discrepancy we found—from the fake “Grey Belt” claims to the “impossible” school capacity—into a professional dossier that will be uploaded to the portal.

FOLLOW THE RULES (To Win): To make sure your objection isn’t “filtered out”.

✅ Send an email to: burntwoodactiongroup@icloud.com

✅ Subject is: Objection Service

✅ Provide 3, 4, 5 or 10+ paragraphs why you don’t want this development with your name and address

✅ We will respond with your objection letter to send in to the council that is professionally written and mapped to technical objections by our Strategic Policy Team.

Why we must keep going:

The developer is hoping we get discouraged by “bureaucracy.” They want us to think that because the Council is pushy, the deal is done. It is NOT.

We are moving from “asking questions” to “providing the evidence” they can’t ignore.

👣 DON’T FORGET THE WALK: Next Sunday at 11:30 AM at the Nags Head. Let’s show them what a community that “stays in its lane” looks like—hundreds of us, standing for our Green Belt!
