Next Sunday, January 18th, we are taking a stand. Not with shouts, but with footsteps.
We are walking the boundaries of the land Bloor Homes wants to destroy. We are walking for the owls, the badgers, and the 250-year-old history of our Hamlet. We are walking to show that Burntwood is at its limit.
📍 THE PLAN:
- WHEN: Sunday, January 18th.
- 11:30 AM: Meet at The Nags Head.
- ROUTE: A peaceful loop around the fields and lanes most affected by the proposal.
Why this walk matters:
- Political Support: Several of our local Councillors have already confirmed they are joining us. This is our chance to show them the strength of local feeling face-to-face.
- The Dossier of Evidence: We will be taking professional video and photos throughout the walk. We want to capture the “Dark Skies,” the narrowness of the lanes, and the beauty of the fields to submit as part of our Strategic Archive.
- Visual Impact: A sea of residents walking these lanes proves that the “Hierarchy of Users” (pedestrians and children) must come before developer HGVs.
What to bring:
📸 Your cameras/phones (We need every angle captured and posted!).
🥾 Sturdy boots/wellies (It’s the Green Belt—expect some mud!).
🧥 Warm layers.
