If you thought housing development threats were confined to the Church Road/Coulter Lane side of Burntwood, think again! We wanted to make you aware of Lichfield Council’s “Call for Sites” data compiled last year, and there’s information you NEED to see.

This isn’t just about one area – our whole town could be at risk – thats just short of 3,000 new homes. We need to be vigilant and informed about all potential development sites across Burntwood.

NEW news! BAG have been made aware that a planning permission application for the Highfields Road site might pop up in the very near future. There is nothing official yet but the changes to the NPPF mean that developers can seize their opportunity.

What you can do:

👉 Familiarise yourselves with the Lichfield Council’s “Call for Sites” data from 2024. Understanding this data is crucial. https://www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/callforsites
👉 Stay informed: Follow us and other local community groups and council updates.
👉 Be prepared to act: If planning applications emerge, we’ll need to make our voices heard loud and clear.

Let’s protect Burntwood together! Share this post to spread awareness.
