Following our recent extremely well-attended public meeting at Burntwood Institute, we’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible support from local residents. Many of you have offered to get involved—attending committee meetings, delivering leaflets, helping with printing, even providing drone footage. Every single offer of help is a powerful reflection of how strongly our community feels about the proposed housing development in Coulter Lane/Church Road. The message is clear: Burntwood does not want this—and together, we will fight it.
Coordinating all the offers of support and responding to requests for more information has taken a bit of time, but please bear with us—we’ll soon be in touch with everyone who’s volunteered to help. We’ll also announce when our ‘Save Our Green Belt’ signs are available—so keep an eye out!
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Burntwood Town Council Leader Darren Ennis and County Councillors Andrew Clissett and Janet Higgins, who have all confirmed their full support for Burntwood Action Group and our community in this vital campaign. Their backing sends a strong message that this development—one that threatens to overwhelm our local roads and infrastructure—must be stopped.
Please continue to spread the word—keep your friends and neighbours informed and make sure you follow this page for the latest updates.
Together, we can protect Burntwood’s green spaces.
